“This is the most important subject in psychedelics today.” —Rick Doblin

Can psychedelics and Christianity coexist harmoniously?
Christianity and psychedelics each carry burdens of stigma.
In psychedelic circles, Christianity is obsolete and in Christianity, psychedelics are obsolete, so the purpose of our films is to not only dispel stigma around each of these subjects but to show how they can be united in harmonious spiritual practice, thus making great strides in promoting positive opinions of these amazing medicines in global circles.
Ligare is seeking your help to complete production and distribution of a 24 short-film series of personal testimonies of christians who have had powerful psychedelic experiences, beginning with the Johns Hopkins Religious Study participants, to rewrite the narrative around faith and psychedelics.
These short but powerful stories of Christians, both clergy and lay people, sharing their incredible experiences of healing and spiritual growth are the purest way to connect with a global audience on an unparalleled spiritual and emotional level.
We can be the first to share these with the world!

“MAPS has pledged their support through social media networks because the more we can reach out to Christians, the better.” —Rick Doblin

Shot in October of 2023, this collection of 5 diverse Christians stories is a preview of our vision for the series.
Watch the preview and be part of the change!
The Ligare network is comprised of Christian leaders, practitioners, chaplains, researchers, and other interested individuals. Over the past year, we have presented at conferences and events like Psychedelic Science 23, been featured in various media outlets (Esquire, 10.23 issue), and begun to launch the Ligare Stories project, a collection of impactful testimonials from individuals who have personally experienced the intersection of Christianity and psychedelics.
We are seeking $120,000 to complete the initial short film to be shown at MAPS PS25 and to be seeded and shared across a vast social media launch, as well as being tools for live engagement and discussions in private and public circles to create change around the world.
We estimate 20 million impressions in the first year of releasing these films.
Part of our budget is dedicated to seeding these films across many networks and platforms which. is why we have teamed up with Docs/ology to ensure these films have constant momentum and we know our work is being seen and discoveredworld wide.
To start us off right, MAPS has pledged their support in getting this message out over their networks to start.
You, MAPS, and Ligare…Together we can make history!
Collaborate with us to help change the narrative and begin to break down barriers of stigma!

Hunt Priest
Executive Director of Ligare
Hunt is an Episcopal priest and the founding Executive Director of Ligare: A Christian Psychedelic Society, a non-profit network of Christian leaders in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Ligare's mission is to educate Christian leaders and those they serve about the intersection of contemplative and open-hearted Christianity and the Psychedelic Renaissance. A participant in a psilocybin study in early 2016, he had two life-changing mystical experiences under the care of a research team. His encounters with psilocybin opened him to the healing and consciousness-raising power of sacred plants and fungi and changed the landscape of his work. Hunt believes the healing power of psychedelics should be in the toolkits of all who are healers of bodies, minds, and souls and can’t wait to provide access to legal, safe, and guided experiences in a Christian setting. In April 2021 Hunt took an extended break from full-time parish ministry to expand his priesthood out into the emerging psychedelic landscape. He has previously served Episcopal Church congregations in Austin, Atlanta, Seattle, and most recently Savannah, Georgia.
